They Won’t Make a Movie About Mohammed: Hindu Pol Calls Out Double Standard

The double standard when it comes to comments about Islam and any other religion is universal. It exists around the world. Not just in America, Australia and Europe. But in Israel and India.

And one Hindu politician is calling out the double standard.

New Delhi: Hours after a Bihar court granted him bail in a poll code violation case for making controversial remarks against the Muslim community, Union minister Giriraj Singh Tuesday made another provocative statement.

In an apparent reference to the controversial Malayalam movie, the minister said anybody can make a film like “Sexy Durga” but nobody has the courage to make one on Prophet Mohammed or Fatima.

Giriraj Singh was addressing a public meeting in support of BJP’s South Delhi candidate Ramesh Bidhuri.

Singh has been very adamant in standing up to Islamic activists in India and Jihadists in the region. He’s backed a ban on the Burka, warned off Pakistan and is asking a simple question about the double standard in the way that Hinduism and Islam are treated in India.

It’s the same situation in America.

Art museums will display work that ridicules Christianity and Judaism, and offends their believers, but would never put on a display of Mohammed cartoons.
